-How did you become interested in becoming a creative person?
Performing has always felt like an intrinsic part of who I am.
As a kid, I threw myself into plays, musicals, and glee club, and I fell in love with music almost immediately.
The older I got, the stronger that pull toward performing became, and I can’t deny that I embraced the attention it brought.
-How would you describe your work?
Music has always been at the center of my life—writing, recording, and most of all performing.
I picked up my first guitar at 13, but a serious arm injury and surgery pushed me to refocus on singing, which eventually became my true voice.
Beyond music, I have a love for acting and character work, and I’m best known for my annual holiday transformation into Black Metal Santa.
-What inspires you and brings you the most satisfaction in doing your creative endeavors?
I take inspiration from countless musicians and bands, but at the core, I make music for my own mental well-being. Singing and performing help me exorcise my demons in a way nothing else can.
And when someone else resonates with what I create, it makes the process all the more powerful.
